Being driven by the beautiful depiction of the love between a human and a robot in the single released season of the popular anime show, Plastic Memories, the fans are now anticipating, rather, pleading for a second season of the same. A Peek Into The Storyline
The setting of the story is a futuristic world in which science has made great advances. This scientific expansion leads to the production of certain android robots, named Giftia who look exactly like humans. However, their life is short, extending to a maximum of only 9 years. Towards the end of their life, the Giftias behave queer, their memories are erased and they even become attacking.
The story mentions a certain industry producing these robots, named the SAI Corp. On the expiry of the Giftias, the recovery of the same becomes the duty of the company’s Terminal Service. Several teams perform this job, each made of a human and a Giftia who spot the expiring Giftias.
It is in this process of spotting the Giftias that a passionate relationship develops between a human and the android robot. However, it is later found out that the lifespan of this particular GIftia is also expiring. Season 1 ends as she looses her memory leaving everybody at a cliffhanger.
The Cast
The major cast consists of four characters. The first important character is the hero of the story, Tsukasa Mizugaki, a boy of 18 who works for the company. It is his story with the Giftia, Isla that the viewers are meant to view, and thus, Isla becomes the second important character.
There is yet another figure who holds much significance in the story, a 17 years old girl, Michiru Kinushima. As the narrative progresses, one can find her developing a soft corner for Tsukasa.
The character of Zack is also important. He is a young Giftia whose comment on the deepest secrets of the human mind gives the story a comical touch. Although the cast of the second season has yet not been decided, the fans can expect to have these four primary characters present there.
When Can We Expect The Release
There has been no official notification confirming the release of the second season of the show. Since six years are already gone after the conclusion of the first season in 2015, there remain serious doubts about having a second season altogether.

Being an original story, without being adapted from anywhere, it is too difficult to have any prediction about the second season if it comes up at all. However, rumors are there that the second season might focus on the reunion of Tsukasa and Isla.
